Agent Client Protocol
A protocol for communication between coding agents and their clients, such as editors. It defines exchanges for initialization, sessions, prompts, updates and permission requests. This client-agent boundary differs from agent-to-agent collaboration and from MCP tool integration. Protocol compatibility does not itself establish trust, authorization or filesystem isolation.
