Edge Case
An input or situation near a system boundary or unusual combination that deserves explicit expected behavior. It is not necessarily rare or unimportant. Boundaries may concern quantity, missing values, time, identity or state transitions, and useful tests begin with the actual contract rather than assumptions about ordinary users.
