Intersection over Union
A geometric overlap measure dividing the area shared by two regions by the area covered by either region. For valid nonempty rectangles it ranges from zero to one. In document evaluation it can compare predicted and reference boxes, but cannot establish whether the enclosed text or field label is correct.
