Job Costing
Job costing means adding up what one specific job actually cost you, including labor hours, materials, subcontractors, and fuel, then comparing that total to what you charged for it. Instead of one profit number for the whole month, you get a profit number for each job. That is what shows you which kinds of work quietly lose money.
