Message Acknowledgment
A consumer-to-broker signal that a delivery can be treated as handled under the messaging protocol. Its meaning depends on when the application sends it. It is distinct from a publisher confirmation and is not independent proof that a database update, payment, email, or other intended business effect actually happened.
