Opt Out
To opt out is to actively switch off a setting that arrives already turned on. With AI tools it usually means two things: telling the provider not to use your conversations to improve their models, and telling it not to keep your chat history on their servers. Free consumer plans often leave both switched on, while paid business plans commonly leave them off.
