Optical Mark Recognition
Detecting whether predefined response areas, such as checkboxes or bubbles, contain marks. It identifies selections rather than transcribing the words beside them. Interpreting the selections also requires the form structure, permitted response rules and a policy for ambiguous or conflicting marks.
