Automation & Workflows
Sales Tax Automation
Sales tax is money you collect from customers on behalf of a state or city and pass along later, so it was never really yours. Automation means software works out the right rate for each sale based on the customer's address, tracks what you have collected where, and prepares the returns. The rules differ by state and change often, which is why almost nobody keeps doing this by hand.
