Scaling
Scaling is making a system handle more work, whether that is more visitors, more orders, or more stored data, without falling over. It is done either by moving to a bigger machine or by adding more machines that share the load. Most modern hosting can scale automatically, adding capacity during a rush and releasing it afterward.
