Single Sign-On
An arrangement in which a user authenticates through a shared identity service to access multiple participating applications without repeating the entire login process at each one. Each application must still decide what the person may do. OpenID Connect is one protocol used for identity federation; OAuth by itself is not a complete user-authentication protocol.
