Control & Feedback

Supervisory Control

Higher-level control that selects operating modes, coordinates lower-level controllers or enforces conditions on their activity. It differs from continuously adjusting every low-level input itself. A supervisor can be automated or involve people, but its authority, priorities and transition rules must be explicit and enforced in the implementation.
