Two-Factor Authentication
An authentication process requiring two different kinds of evidence, typically something you know plus something you have. Two questions about remembered information are not two factors. A password plus a code from a registered authenticator can provide two factors, but manually entered codes can still be phished. Stronger protection depends on the method, implementation and recovery path.
