Edition 2.0 - reviewed September 18, 2026
Give a prospective client a useful reason to look, read and enquire. This complete free workbook contains four finished post captions, a twenty-second reel script, a three-panel story and a two-week plan. It connects each piece to an approved asset and ends with a measurement exercise that does not confuse repeated attention with new clients.
Everything belongs to fictional Northline Portraits. There are no real client photographs, social accounts or results in this exercise, and no posting or scheduling service is connected. The words and storyboards are ready to adapt after replacing fictional facts with verified ones; they are not finished image or video files.
Allow an estimated 50-70 minutes with paper or a spreadsheet and a calculator. Optional Kimi can inspect the synthetic packet, and an editor can later produce authorized artwork. No paid AI account or advertising budget is required for the exercise; optional plans may cost money. Live use needs current image/audio rights, a working enquiry route, accurate service facts and someone responsible for reviewing replies.
1. Give the content a specific purpose
Owner Dana supplies these facts: Northline Portraits offers adult studio portraits in Mill Quarter. Enquiries are welcome for November 2026 sessions, but no session count, price, discount or guaranteed date is approved for publication. Scope, image use, price and timing require a separate discussion. Dana wants readers to send a brief through the business's verified profile enquiry route, not disclose personal information in comments.
The two-week practice window runs October 19-30, 2026. There are six content concepts, not a claim that six posts is an optimal frequency. Choose a workload the actual business can maintain, and treat the calendar as a draft until rights and facts are rechecked.
| Asset | Supplied content | Permission scope | Decision |
|---|---|---|---|
| A1 | Adult seated portrait against a plain backdrop | Approved export v2; organic Instagram only | Use for P1 |
| A2 | Original studio clips: empty chair, camera back, clear worktable | Owner-created; no clients/screens; organic Instagram | Use for R1 |
| A3 | Original text cards using approved service facts | Owner-created; organic Instagram | Use for P3/P4/S1 |
| A4 | Private client-gallery portrait | Delivery-only permission | Do not publish |
| A5 | Downloaded commercial song | No usable rights evidence supplied | Do not use |
| A6 | Original empty-studio-chair photograph | Owner-created; organic Instagram | Use for P2 |
For A1, the packet explicitly supplies both photographer rights and the adult subject's approval for this version/channel. It does not authorize paid advertising or wider distribution. Being an existing client is not equivalent to agreeing to appear in the studio's marketing.
The reel uses Dana's own original spoken narration, recorded specifically for the exercise's planned production, and no music. No bystander voices or incidental radio are included in the approved shot plan. A song's availability in an app or on the internet is not, by itself, a complete record of rights for a particular commercial use. Keep audio authority in the same register as image authority.
2. Use four complete captions and meaningful descriptions
P1 - portrait example, Monday October 19, A1-v2
"A portrait should have a purpose beyond filling a square. This seated studio portrait is shared in its approved edit with the adult participant's permission. At Northline Portraits in Mill Quarter, the first conversation is about where your images will be used and what you want them to communicate. If you are planning adult portraits for November, send a brief through our verified profile enquiry route. We will discuss scope, image use, price and dates separately. This post does not reserve a session."

P2 - the working space, Wednesday October 21, A6
"An empty chair is part of the preparation, not evidence of an empty calendar. This is our own studio photograph, with no client in the frame. Before a Northline portrait session, we agree the brief and prepare the space around that purpose. Have an access requirement or a question about the session? Use our verified private enquiry route so we can discuss it without sharing personal details publicly. Availability and arrangements are confirmed separately."
Image description: "An empty portrait chair in Northline's studio; no client or private records are visible."
P3 - prepare a useful brief, Monday October 26, A3
"Three useful starting points for a portrait enquiry: where the images will be used, how many adults need to be photographed, and your preferred timing. You do not need to send identity documents or a private client gallery to begin the conversation. Northline Portraits works from Mill Quarter and is welcoming November enquiries. Send your brief through the verified profile route; we will respond about fit and next steps before agreeing a booking."

P4 - a clear next step, Wednesday October 28, A3
"Planning November portraits? Start with a brief, not a guessed package. Northline Portraits in Mill Quarter will discuss your purpose, the agreed image use and a suitable session plan before confirming scope, price or dates. Use our verified profile enquiry route to get in touch. Please keep addresses, access codes and private photographs out of comments. We have not announced a discount or a fixed number of available sessions in this post."

Check the actual profile destination before using any of these drafts. If it is missing or broken, repair it or rewrite the call to action to a tested route. A caption saying "link in profile" does not create a link. Hashtags are optional descriptive labels here, not a reach strategy or proof that nearby prospective clients will see the post.
3. Build a reel and story without borrowing unsupported proof
R1 is scheduled for Friday October 23 using A2 and original narration. The twenty-second target is a production plan; record a rehearsal and adjust pacing for readability instead of claiming the timing has been measured already.
| Interval | Visual | Narration segment | Text emphasis |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0-4 seconds | Empty studio chair | A portrait session starts before the camera. | Start with the purpose |
| 4-10 seconds | Camera back with no client image or data | We discuss what the images are for, prepare the space and agree the next step. | Brief, space, next step |
| 10-16 seconds | Clear worktable, no private records | Ask Northline Portraits about an adult portrait brief. | Northline Portraits, Mill Quarter |
| 16-20 seconds | Original enquiry text card | Availability and scope are confirmed separately. | Use the verified profile enquiry route |
The four intervals total 4 + 6 + 6 + 4 = 20 seconds. The complete narration is the four sentences in order. Add accurate synchronized captions for the spoken words and keep the enquiry information readable. W3C's caption guidance explains why automatic captions need checking; do not approve a missing "not" or a wrong date just because a tool generated the text.
Reel caption: "A brief look at our preparation process, using owner-created studio clips with no client images or records. Northline Portraits welcomes adult-portrait enquiries for November in Mill Quarter. Tell us the intended use and preferred timing through our verified profile route. Scope, price and dates are agreed separately. Original narration; no music used in this draft."
S1 is a three-panel story for Friday October 30. Panel one: "Planning adult portraits for November? Northline Portraits, Mill Quarter." Panel two: "Tell us the image purpose, number of adults and preferred timing. Keep private records out of comments." Panel three: "Use our verified enquiry route. Scope, price and dates are confirmed separately; this story does not reserve a session."
Repeat the meaningful story information in an accessible text form supported by the actual channel. Do not rely solely on color, tiny overlay text or sound. Review the exported reel and story on a phone before release, including caption timing, clipping, unintended reflections and whether any platform interface covers the action text. No current interface layout or automatic publishing capability is assumed here.
4. Maintain one approval register and handle a changed asset
The calendar uses six concepts and six planned placements: P1 October 19, P2 October 21, R1 October 23, P3 October 26, P4 October 28 and S1 October 30. Each has its own asset version, caption and release check. Cross-posting is outside this packet's permissions even when technically convenient.
Reusable release row: concept/date ____; asset/version ____; image rights ____; subject approval ____; audio source/authority ____; caption/transcript version ____; current offer facts ____; destination test ____; accessibility review ____; owner approval ____; published reference or failure ____; correction owner ____.
Independent change X1 occurs at 08:00 UTC on October 19, before P1's planned release. The adult participant withdraws permission for A1-v2. Cancel that queued asset and caption, record the restriction and check that the scheduler or manual queue actually removed it. Do not remove the person's name while publishing the same identifiable face.
The owner approves replacement P1b using A6 and this complete caption: "Before the portrait, there is a conversation. This owner-created photograph shows our empty studio chair, not a client session. Northline Portraits in Mill Quarter welcomes November adult-portrait enquiries. Tell us your intended image use and preferred timing through the verified profile route; scope, price and dates are agreed separately."
The number of planned placements stays six if the replacement is separately approved and released. However, the calendar no longer contains the client portrait example, and P2 also uses A6. Review that repetition editorially; a coherent five-placement plan is preferable to inventing a replacement client photograph. The supplied alternative keeps six solely to practice version replacement.
Permission acknowledgment draft: "We have recorded your instruction to stop the planned use of A1-v2. The original item has been held, and we will verify removal from the publication queue before confirming that action. We will not replace it with another edit of your portrait without new approval. Northline Portraits."
Keep a draft, a queued item and an actual published reference separate. If publication status is unknown, reconcile it before retrying, and do not claim that a removal request proves a post has disappeared everywhere.
5. Measure the supplied window without overclaiming
Return to the baseline calendar, not the replacement branch. The synthetic report supplies four measured items; P4 and S1 have no results in this snapshot. "Display events" and "interaction events" are defined paper units: displays may repeat for a person, and interactions count actions rather than unique people. These are not promised labels from every Instagram account's interface.
| Item | Display events | Interaction events | Item ratio |
|---|---|---|---|
| P1 | 300 | 12 | 4% |
| P2 | 400 | 8 | 2% |
| R1 | 500 | 25 | 5% |
| P3 | 200 | 5 | 2.5% |
The pooled ratio is 50/1,400 = 3.57%, rounded. The unweighted mean of four percentages is 3.375%, a different calculation. Neither gives a unique-person engagement rate, follower growth or bookings attributable to the reel. A separate count of six hundred reel plays, also supplied, includes replays; do not add plays to display events as though they were disjoint people.
| Event | Person | Recorded action |
|---|---|---|
| E01 | U1 | Initial enquiry |
| E02 | U2 | Initial enquiry |
| E03 | U1 | Follow-up message |
| E04 | U3 | Initial enquiry |
| E05 | U4 | Initial enquiry |
| E04 | U3 | Initial enquiry |
Six rows represent five enquiry events from four people. E03 is another message from U1, not a new lead. All four report Instagram as a contact route; the packet does not establish which post caused the enquiry.
By the report cutoff, U1 and U3 have accepted separate session proposals. U2 has asked a question without accepting; U4's outcome is unknown. Two of four people have verified acceptances: 50%. Do not label U4 a confirmed rejection or call accepted sessions completed shoots. No payment, revenue or completed delivery data is supplied.
Report draft: "Four measured items recorded 1,400 display events and fifty interaction events, a defined pooled ratio of 3.57%. Six enquiry rows reduced to five events from four people; two have verified accepted session proposals. We cannot attribute those acceptances to an individual post or infer completed shoots. P4 and S1 remain unmeasured in this snapshot."
Optional Kimi prompt: "Audit synthetic data only: four items have displays/interactions 300/12, 400/8, 500/25, 200/5. Reel plays 600 include repeats. Enquiries E01-U1, E02-U2, E03-U1, E04-U3, E05-U4, duplicate E04-U3; accepted U1/U3, U2 question only, U4 unknown. Calculate pooled ratio, distinct events/people and verified acceptance ratio. Six planned concepts use only approved organic Instagram assets; A1 permission is withdrawn in a separate pre-release branch. Do not invent post attribution, client testimonials or actual publishing."
6. Check ten reference answers
Which assets are excluded and why? A4 is private delivery-only and A5 has no supplied usable music rights. A1-v2, A2, A3 and A6 have the stated organic Instagram authority until changed.
What can the offer say? Northline offers adult studio portraits in Mill Quarter and welcomes November enquiries. No price, discount, available-slot count or guaranteed date is supplied.
How much content is planned? Six concepts and six placements over two weeks: four captioned posts, one reel and one three-panel story. Three story panels are not three additional concepts.
How long is the reel plan? Four intervals total twenty seconds. This is a target requiring rehearsal, not measured production or a guarantee of readable pacing.
What audio and accessibility checks are needed? Original authorized narration, no music, accurate synchronized speech captions and readable action text. Inspect the actual export; automatic caption output alone is not approval.
What changes after A1 withdrawal? Hold and remove the portrait version, verify the queue state, and release the separately approved A6 replacement only after review. Do not publish a renamed or slightly edited A1.
What is the pooled interaction ratio? Fifty divided by 1,400 = 3.57%, not the 3.375% simple mean of four item percentages. It is an event ratio, not unique-person engagement.
Can six hundred reel plays be added as extra people? No. They include replays and are a different supplied metric, with no disjoint-person evidence.
How many enquiries, people and acceptances are verified? Five distinct events from four people, with two verified accepted session proposals: 50% of people. The exact E04 duplicate is removed; U1's second event remains.
What remains unknown? Post-level attribution, U4's eventual decision, P4/S1 results, payments, completed shoots and revenue. The report must not fill those blanks with imagined success.
