Agent Engineering

Concurrency

The organization of multiple tasks whose lifetimes overlap, whether or not they execute at the same instant. Parallelism concerns simultaneous execution; concurrency also includes interleaving while tasks wait. More overlapping agents can improve utilization but can also introduce races, higher resource use, and conflicting writes to shared records.
