Queue
A holding and delivery mechanism that separates producers of messages from the consumers doing the work. In a work-queue arrangement, workers take jobs as capacity becomes available. Persistence, ordering, acknowledgment, retention, and redelivery behavior depend on configuration; placing a task in a queue does not mean the task has finished.
