Data Ingestion
Data ingestion is the step where your documents or records are pulled into an AI or search tool so it can read them: uploaded, connected to a folder, or synced in on a schedule. Nothing is reshaped and nothing is reported on; it is purely getting the material inside the tool. Until something has been ingested, the tool genuinely does not know it exists.
