Graph Motif

A graph motif is a small connection pattern considered meaningful through its occurrence structure; in the statistical network-motif sense, it is overrepresented relative to a specified comparison model. Counting repeated patterns alone does not establish statistical overrepresentation. Direction, induced-pattern rules and the null model affect what is being counted and claimed.
