Monthly recurring revenue: a monthly-normalized view of eligible recurring subscription amounts. Annual billing can be divided across twelve months for this metric, while one-time charges are excluded under the stated convention. Eligibility, discounts and status handling require a policy; MRR is not itself cash collection or a formal revenue-recognition instruction.
