Control & Feedback
PID Controller
A controller combining proportional, integral and derivative contributions. These respond to present deviation, accumulated deviation and change rate under the selected implementation. PID is a control-engineering method, not a special language-model reasoning mode. Tuning, filtering, sampling, constraints and the controlled system determine whether the combination behaves usefully.
Also called: Proportional-integral-derivative controller
