Reasoning Model

A broad label for models trained or configured to spend additional computation on intermediate problem-solving before producing an answer. Implementations, controls and benefits vary. It is not necessarily a menu setting, and extra computation does not guarantee a better answer, a particular latency or access to private reasoning traces.
