Configuring a sequence of operations to run under defined triggers, conditions and data rules. A workflow can include human review and deliberate stops rather than automating every decision. Reliable operation also needs validation, duplicate handling, observable results and recovery paths; connecting steps alone does not establish that the business outcome occurred.
