Average Order Value
The average sales amount assigned to an order under a stated reporting convention. Divide the chosen order-sales numerator by eligible orders, not customers. Discounts, refunds, shipping and taxes need explicit treatment. Different reporting products can define the numerator differently, so a label alone is not enough to reconcile two dashboards.
