Unit Economics

Analyzing revenue and costs around a defined unit, such as an order or customer, with an explicit cost boundary. Contribution from a unit is useful for planning, but does not automatically cover fixed overhead. Acquisition costs may belong to a customer relationship rather than every repeat order, so allocation matters.
