Background Memory Update
A background memory update processes and stores information separately from the immediate reply, often after a delay or through a queued job. LangMem documents deferred processing that can replace pending work when conversation activity continues. This scheduling pattern does not guarantee fresh reads, job completion or protection against an older job overwriting newer state.
