Dead-Letter Queue
A separate destination for messages that meet a configured failure or rejection policy, allowing investigation without continuously blocking ordinary work. A dead-letter queue is not a repair mechanism or permanent archive. Its routing, retention, monitoring, ownership, and controlled reprocessing procedure must be configured explicitly.
