Logs
Logs are records emitted about events or observations in a system. Structured logs use consistent fields that can be searched and correlated; an event time can differ from the time a collector observed it. Coverage depends on instrumentation and delivery, so logs are neither an automatic complete history nor necessarily the authoritative business ledger.
