Runaway Agent
An informal label for an agent whose activity continues beyond useful or authorized bounds, such as repeating ineffective steps or accumulating unintended effects. It is not a standardized diagnosis with one cause. Progress signals, resource limits and externally enforced stop conditions help detect and limit the problem without guaranteeing prevention.
