Sampling Interval
The time between successive observations or updates in a sampled system, when a regular interval is used. It influences what changes are visible and how discrete control calculations behave. Sampling faster does not necessarily make the underlying measurement fresher, and irregular intervals require timestamps rather than an assumed constant spacing.
