Control & Feedback

Saturation

A limit that prevents an output or actuator from increasing or decreasing beyond a permitted range. A controller may request a larger change, but the applied value remains bounded. Output limiting changes the loop behavior and can interact with accumulated controller state; it is not merely a display constraint.
